Blue sapphire

The location of the sapphire determines its color. The lighter variant of the sapphire is found in Sri Lanka, which from the United States are more metallic in color and the Australian are very dark blue. Most valuable sapphires come from Kashmir, India and have a corn -blue color. The biggest sapphire ever found weighed around 20 kilos.

Vindplaats
